VP Joe Biden proves, Washington can get by with murder

How about this, Vice President Joe Biden busts loose and admits ISIS has been armed by our allies, right under our noses, in plain view?

At Harvard’s John F. Kennedy Forum last week Biden talked openly about the part US allies in the Middle East played in empowering ISIS to overthrow Syria’s President Bashar al-Assad, and in so doing creating the current monster. This report from Global Research outlines the details of what has to be the most amazing gaff by a politician in decades. Biden, for all intents, blows the whistle on the Obama administration, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

But what’s more concerning, more dangerous, is the fact the administration has not been called onto the carpet over this and other foreign policy and meddling. Given the revelations over the past couple of years, it’s almost as if the American public could care less what happens, or what position the current administration puts our country in in any regard. The US has lost a great deal of credibility and influence on account of NSA spying, meddling in Ukraine and now Hong Kong, and sanctions on Russia that have hurt more than helped the European situation.

Patrick Martin of Global Research calls the revelation the latest stain on this administration, a “testament to the degeneracy of the American political system.” And he’s spot on. Even the Obama owned mainstream is on Biden’s case, albeit letting him off the hook as just some idiotic bigmouth. The Washington Post fails to amplify the obvious story, but instead alludes only to Biden’s lost chances at a Presidential bid in 2016! And right there is the problem America has, a candidacy is more important than world peace or world war.

The underlying story of a government with strategies and concerns far off the track from what Americans want or need, this is our major concern. As presidents go, we could elect Mr. Bean and do as well as funding terror, watching it turn on us, then breaking our bank bombing it. America is turned upside down, and most Americans are asking the pharmacist for a headache pill.

If you think for a moment we’re not in the soup reality wise, New Day host Chris Cuomo said he admires Biden even still, and get this, for his candor. So if Biden admitted Obama is the anti-Christ, Cuomo and half of America would be okay with it, as long as he was stupid enough to spill the beans? Wow. Let me say that again, Wow.

Duke University vs The Duke: The hell, you say?

Duke University just decided to “duke” it out with the wrong hombre. Ethan Wayne, son of the legendary American icon John Wayne, he’s taking the fight to the North Carolina university of over the rights to use his father’s nickname on a bottle of his dad’s favorite whiskey.

I can just hear The Duke now saying: “What the hell?”

You read that correctly. Somebody up in Durham, North Carolina must have lost their pea picking mind. “The Duke” is synonymous with so many bits and pieces of American heritage, trademarking a bottle of his booze for the public to share would seem a foregone conclusion for many. Not for Duke’s lawyers though. Somehow they believe a bourbon bottle with America’s all time favorite cowboy on the label, and a big ass red spur in the logo, copies their “Blue Devils” trademark.

You uttered “WTF?” didn’t you? I know some of you did. Ethan, who starred with his dad John Wayne in Rio Lobo and Big Jake, runs The Duke’s businesses now for the family. John Wayne Enterprises sells Duke paraphernalia and memorabilia, among other branded commodities, worldwide. More importantly, however, the mission of the Wayne family business is to preserve the memory and reputation of John Wayne, more so than to just make money. On top of this, there’s a bunch of charities attached to Wayne’s promotional stuff, such as the John Wayne Cancer Foundation. I quote from the website:

John Wayne Enterprises’ mission is to preserve and protect the name, image, and likeness of John Wayne by associating the John Wayne brand with quality and timeless products and experiences that embody the spirit of John Wayne and give back to the community.

Now to the “booze” Ethan and his family marketed to fans. A distilling company, Monument Valley Distillers of California, was created to distill John Wayne’s private collection of Kentucky straight bourbon, from back in the 1960s. Ethan Wayne, partnering with famous wine makers Chris Radomski and Jayson Woodbridge of Hundred Acre Wines, along with friend Richard Howell, founded Monument Valley Distillers.

Ethan Wayne had this to say about the distillation of the whiskey:

“My father thrived on new projects and adventures and he always loved a great glass of whiskey at the end of the day. Our goal with the DUKE was to make a Bourbon that embodies the spirit, strength and richness my father personified while realizing his unfulfilled dream of distilling fine spirits.”

Now get this people. Anyone who’s a fan of The Duke knows, he liked his bourbon. Like son Ethan said in a recent interview on this subject; “How can anyone mistake dad’s full length likeness, and the big red spur on the bottle, for Duke University’s moniker?” How indeed.

Here’s my advice for Duke University. If you guys don’t want to end up like actor Bruce Dern, who shot The Duke in the back in the film The Cowboys, you’d better let go your tight ass lawyer tricks. Dern, for those who do not know, didn’t get a decent film role after just seeming to shoot The Duke in the back. Now the North Carolina school risks damnation over a bottle of booze?

So far a California court has refused to hear the case based on a technicality. Duke University mouthpieces claimed the California Federal Court had no jurisdiction. Now Ethan and the family will have to go straight to Washington. One has to believe, that after a sufficient throttling by public opinion, the university may want to change their name. If I had my way, they would.

Ranting on Bloomberg, Unfairness, and Betting the Russia Margin

For those of you not sick unto death of Bloomberg machinations, today’s headline about Vladimir Putin should be icing on the cake.

“What Putin Wrought Has World Asking What Russia Might Have Been.”

Really now? And it took not one, but two brilliant Bloomberg authors to put this upside-down reality into focus. Simon Kennedy and Henry Meyer paint a picturesque past with their lead in, Putin and then Britain PM Tony Blair (Who’s clearly a madman) dancing amid daffodils, chanting “world peace, world peace, we’ll soon have world peace.” Humbug. However harmonious a relationship President Putin tried to foster with the west these last 10 years, it was the successors to whacked out crook Tony Blair that soured the deal. I quote from the authors on paradise lost over Ukraine:

“Putin began turning away from his new friends as early as 2003, and accelerated the retreat as his third term in the Kremlin got under way in 2012. He cracked down on dissidents, curbed economic freedoms and, this year, fomented the rebellion in eastern Ukraine.”

Then, after conjuring imagery of Dr. Zhivago meets Marry Poppins in our heads, the two economic wizards jump on the bandwagon of Putin bashers intent on shifting blame, I guess. To be honest the mainstream has become so awash with BS like this these last few months, only the avid investments types can possibly have a clue as to what is true or false. What is certainly true is, everybody in Washington, New York and London who invests, is investing in chaos these days. As for Bloomberg’s international economics man in London, Kennedy whistles; “buy, buy, buy” over Ukraine, Syria, and Gaza. Funny thing, I wonder if former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton (below right)reads his columns? She was tuned to Wall Street and Russia stocks before bashing Putin over MH17! And only hours after the dead people fell from the sky. If she’s swerving news to influence the ticker, that would go to show you don’t have to have a stock portfolio to profit from the margins. Sorry Hillary, but it’s smart, just not that smart.

Putin has so far caused everything from global warming to the fleas on Obama’s dog. And if Henry Meyer at Bloomberg had anything to say about Putin’s guilt, the Russian president would already be six feet under some gulag. This guy is a Russophobe of monumental proportions in my view. In a recent interview Meyer attempts to draw another lopsided caricature in describing reporting from Ukraine. Despite the fact the pro-Russians are not the ones taking press hostages, Meyer sees fit to portray freedom fighters in the east as the “dangerous” ones in Ukraine. Funny, no Kiev civilians have as of yet been shelled to death. Meyer has been on Putin’s case since the proverbial cows came home. Or since Putin nixed the Israel-US Syria coup d’etat Obama was planning on. Oh boy, don’t get me started.

Anyway, my take on the sold out western media is no big secret. People like me, those intent on seeing a fair shake for one and all, we don’t stand a chance against the likes of the Bloombergs of the world. Anyone who disagrees with their lies and machinations, he or she gets the “paid off in rubles” routine. These kinds of misleading articles really make me sick. Putin may be no angel, but compared to the sellouts and corporate killers in charge in the west, he’s St. Peter himself. I guess what makes me even more disgusted is, most Americans believe these clowns.

And that’s my Tuesday rant on world politics.

When or if you wonder why I seem hurt, angry, upset, bent on changing your mind, it’s because I love you.. and because you do not love me back.

Barack Obama and his PR sit there, on a smart device or at a The White House console, wondering about my criticisms, never realizing America’s expectations reside in the sentiment flowing forth.

A lifelong friend, a former Marine, asks another lifelong friend; “Why is Phil so unpatriotic, he served, why is he acting un-American?” The answer is simple. I love America and am hurt by what it is becoming.

The man in the video here mentions something from an Amercian hopeful who was killed, Robert F. Kennedy.

“Few will have the greatness to bend history itself; but each of us can work to change a small portion of events, and in the total; of all those acts will be written the history of this generation.”

Do you remember Robert F. Kennedy? My generation, can you recall what we thought lived in him, in us?

I urge anyone reading this to think, not react. To go back and love the idea that peace and a utopian world is still possible. Then examine how we can really change things for the better. Wait five minutes before heading out to Walmart, or to get buffalo wings, or to meet up with your iPhone 6 Plus toting friends at lunch…. put down the phone and look into each others’ eyes. See the future that could be.

Amazon Missiles: In the space or an arms race?

In your wildest dreams can you imagine…

Western billionaire’s like Amazon.com’s Jeff Bezos stepping in to make money off the military industrial complex? Is this where Silicon Valley ingenuity led us? Google spying, Amazon missiles to come, Microsoft selling their systems based on the “American-ness” of the operators to Lockheed-Martin?

“The Windows Azure U.S. Government Cloud will be an exclusive community cloud available for U.S. state, local and federal government agencies. It will be hosted in Microsoft data centers located in the U.S. and managed by U.S. citizens. Cloud facilities that share content with non-governmental organizations or fail to meet data residency and oversight requirements have generally been out of the running for most federal agencies due to security concerns.”

First Bezos buys the Washington Post, then the Washington Post trumpets “Obama, Obama, Obama,” then Obama attacks just about everybody on Earth, then Bezos comes out with a sweet deal to build missiles, in place of the ostracized Russians? WTF is this? Bezos’ Blue Origin company is supposed to lower the cost of civilian spaceflight etc, (hahaha) but now the company has gotten into bed with the defense establishment stark naked.

Even Bezos’ press release docs make no bones about their making rocket engines now for the US Air Force’s Evolved Expendable Launch Vehicle (EELV). This puts Bezos on the fence in between opportunity, and corporate scum bag if one considers vested interests. Where media propaganda and foreign policy strategies converge, this is where the American people might find answers to today’s conflict questions. For me, I imagine a cohort or coalition of billionaire industrialists herded into an overall policy toward Russia exclusion form markets, and chaotic recreation of the Middle East and other sectors.

If you have not become wary already, the trend toward unbridled corporate warmongering is blatant these days. The timing of this is just too suspicious for me. It all feels like a “you scratch my back” scenario, the Richard Bransons, Bill Clintons, Bezos, Google, NSA, Obama climage change nastiness surfacing. What you probably do not realize, what has not been written about this rocket engine business, is that the BE-4 Rocket Engine (PDF from Blue Origin) being developed by Blue Origin advances greatly “so-called” Boost Glide capability for the Air Force. What his could mean is, US Air Force developments of Advanced Hypersonic Weapons. This new class of weapon, it is feared, will cause another massive arms race in between the US, China, and Russia.

These people don’t even regard you caring a twit about what they do or how they do it. They sold us books, software, and gadgets, we made them billionaires many times over, and now they plunge us into World War III over MORE. Bezos and these other western business titans have entered into “peace busting” investments that run contrary to anything we should be interested in. Hypersonic missiles, the US’s Conventional Prompt Global Strike (CPGS) weapons, these are the icons of a new age of killing, not space exploration.

This is despicable, they are despicable, those who would not only profit, but instigate our own demise. That’s all I have to say for now, but you’d better be watching closely.

The White House and Barack Obama are sharing with you on the various social media channels, a climate change boondoggle of epic proportions. Before you fall for this propaganda, please understand, it’s all subterfuge, and not even good misdirect at that. Natural gas is not a safe ecological alternative to coal, the energy giants would love for you to believe it is, but it’s not true. What’s worse than the environmental catastrophe at hand though, is the blatant disregard for us human beings, the wars on account of profit.

Ukraine, the Arab Spring, Syria, Iraq, all these chaotic events including the Gaza genocide, they’re all linked to this. You may not want to study this, the idea is outside your comfort zone, I know. But imagine how uncomfortable Armageddon is going to be.

The Veil of Climate Change

From the PDF of Obama’s Climate Change you’ll find nothing about the dangers of methane release or other issues surrounding technologies like hydraulic fracking. You will find America’s new gas boom underneath the newfound climate change spangled banner.

First instance for “natural gas”:
In 2012, America’s net oil imports fell to the lowest level in 20 years and we have become the world’s leading producer of natural gas – the cleanest-burning fossil fuel.

Second instance:
The Environmental Protection Agency’s proposal reflects and reinforces the ongoing
trend towards cleaner technologies, with natural gas increasing its share of electricity generation in recent years, principally through market forces and renewables deployment growing rapidly to account for roughly half of new generation capacity installed in 2012.

Third instance:
By doing so, we will continue to drive American leadership in clean energy technologies, such as efficient natural gas, nuclear, renewables, and clean coal technology.

Fourth instance:
The Obama Administration has promoted the expansion of renewable, clean, and efficient energy sources and technologies worldwide through:

• Financing and regulatory support for renewable and clean energy projects
• Actions to promote fuel switching from oil and coal to natural gas or renewables
• Support for the safe and secure use of nuclear power
• Cooperation on clean coal technologies
• Programs to improve and disseminate energy efficient technologies

Fifth instance:
Natural Gas. Burning natural gas is about one-half as carbon-intensive as coal, which can make it a critical “bridge fuel” for many countries as the world transitions to even cleaner sources of energy. Toward that end, the Obama Administration is partnering with states and private companies to exchange lessons learned with our international partners on responsible development of natural gas resources…………….
In every case “Natural Gas” tops the list of alternatives to solve the climate change problem. It might interest you to know, the Unites States is building, in conjunction with the world’s largest energy titans, Natural Gas Liquification terminals as fast possible?

The reason for this is to export US natural gas to Europe and elsewhere, once Russia is out of the picture. US prices for natural gas are dirt cheap, demand in Europe for US gas will skyrocket prices making trillions for the Energy moguls. Obama and Washington owe these people favors… the big payoff is at hand, and people are already getting murdered over it all. Obama and the Washington elite plan on fueling the next American boom economy with your oxygen, your water, and your blood. This is their only way out of decades of Wall Street robbery, money under the tables, and deal on deal on deal among the world’s leaders.

Gaza, Israel, the Key to the Gas Pump

The most recent Israeli offensive against the civilian population of Gaza is just one event, in a sequence, that reveals the true intentions of the Tel Aviv government. Like it or not, the state of Israel has nothing to do with being a homeland for Jews. The power structure there, as in most of the western world, is made up of puppets dangled on the strings of what I’d like to call “Cowboy Oligarchs,” owing to their western orientation. You don’t have to take my word for any of this.

Back in December of 2008 (just after Barack Obama was elected) Israel launched an offensive on Gaza called “Operation Cast Lead.” That operation, besides killing 1300 men, women, and children, had as its goal securing Palestinian gas fields, which the Israelis nationalized. Shortly after this incursion, the announcement the massive Leviathan gas fields off Israel was made. The fields, as we see now, play an integral part in the entire US-Middle East policy strategy. And familiar players are involved compared to Ukraine, Iraq, Syria, and even US climate policy. I’ve no time to delve into this too deeply here, but western politicians from Sydney to Berlin and Washington, they’ve vested interests in the energy game we’re discovering.

On instance, an Australian company called Woodside Petroleum, Global Research author Felicity Arbuthnot spotlighted them in this article. For those unfamiliar with Woodside Petroleum, Australian PM Tony Abbot (the one bashing Putin daily) he’s cozy with Woodside Petroleum chief Peter Coleman. Skipping to today, Woodside seems a clone of some Obama energy pals in the states, Dutch Royal Shell and others taking stakes down under, and heavily vested in LNG. The map up above from Global Research unveils the geography of these conflicts.

Israel: The Energy Capital of the World

You read that correctly. Any you thought Jerusalem was not the “Holy City.” As you can tell, Syria and Gaza appear, in reality, “in the way” for any real Israel hub for energy export scenario. Factor in that Putin’s Russia has deals with Syria to take advantage of Leviathon, throw in the EU-Russia chaos going on now, and add Tony Abbott and Obama rhetoric against Russia, and you have a Shakespearian sonnet going on in our world.

Ukraine is key for any plan to ship LNG to the east and northeast of Europe. Most significantly for gas coming from Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the Leviathan, and even North Africa. Think of these strategy theories this way: If you wanted to impeded the competition, what’s the best way to cut off nations or any adversaries? Think like a bean counter or banker for a moment. You make money off arms and war, while capitalizing on the strategic wins at the same time. Bomb the hell out of everybody but Saudi Arabia and Israel. There’s your energy hub.

Shakespeare, he had such a way with words and ideas. It seems like everywhere in our world we’ve somehow elected the most evil puppets we could lay hands on. Or did we elect them? I’m not the first to point to today’s situation as a world war for money. Israel needs to expand, Israel wants to expand, Israel has been, largely, our biggest problem, though we have not considered it. Stealing what is historically the Palestinian people’s, this goes back to the reign of Ramses III and Moses. But that’s another tale. Today the IDF has effectively destroyed Gaza. Washington and Kiev have obliterated east Ukraine, Washington backed fighters inside Syria, they’ve butchered their way into the history books too. And all this over this oil company or that one milking us all for more, more, more. You cannot even in good conscience deny this. Can you even read The Times of Israel calling a deal from the US’s Noble Energy to supply Jordan with natural gas; “A bulwark against Jihadis,” and not gag?

Meanwhile, pushed into the corner Russian President Vladimir Putin is finally forced to accept the obvious – there will be no peace.

Some of us sit at home looking at CNN, reading the Wall Street Journal, scanning Facebook or catching a Guardian article, here, or there. The larger scope of things, well, it just seems to escape most people. If we can envision briefly, what it means for, let’s say for Big Brother to put an American president in power. Then we can grasp more easily how our world got so goddamned screwed up. Let’s say it’s our “boy’s” second term, about half way through. Invariably there would be deals and strategies to tie up. All those loose ends of corporate world domination, why they’d have to become “critical,” now wouldn’t they? What if the next year and a half is all about chaos, money, greed, and gas pipelines the world over? Could we be convinced of some great conspiracy theory?

And let’s not forget, with President Obama’s clean fuels moves, huge energy players like Peabody cannot afford to just sit on all that coal. Markets in the BRICs and in Europe make a lot of sense there. Other factors to consider there are the depletion of US natural gas reserves, a downward curve in production, and an upward curve for Russia field’s producing. This is a major variable in all these strategies, a sort of energy power or resource curve. The fact Russia has all the remaining energy cards, cannot be avoided.

In such a crazy world, would a president grow thinner? Would the logic of his or her actions become less obvious? If corporations put such dictators in place, would the media be against them? Is this version of reality the real hell? I mean if hell means relative suffering without end, isn’t our world hellish for most of the people? If this is hell, who is Satan?

American Mass Hypnosis: The Beginning of the End

It seems a significant milestone for world detentes that Russian President Vladimir Putin is refocused now on a Russian military that for some years has been quiet. The Ukraine crisis, the continual push from NATO and western powers, and economic strategics across the globe have twisted our future. It may be our leadership has set in motion our end.

We’ve been put under a spell, like some great wizard waved a hand and “POOF”

In America the public is now all but hypnotized. The biggest propaganda media stent in the history of the world, it’s taken its toll. For all intents and purposes, Russophobia has been rekindled like a Frankenstein monster bent on destruction. And at any cost. Public outcry now, what there is to speak of, is largely ignored. And understandably, the Obama administrion and the PR machine that powers it, has been relentless. We’re on a freight train headed wherever chaos leads us.

As for Vladimir Putin, he is still largely misunderstood, demonized, and even underestimated. No matter which way Russia turns, no matter what concessions Putin may make, even his superior tactics and economic wins do nothing to deter Washington from war. Spending billions the American people no longer have, maxing out every credit card in the federal treasury, Obama, the militarists, and the energy moguls are hell bent. We’re running on fumes credit wise, and weapons and dollars still bleed from our coffers. It’s utter insanity, but Americans are spellbound, helpless, worthless really, to stop it all.

Turning the page, Putin’s recent visit to he technology center of Sarov to meet with young researchers at the Russian Federal Nuclear Centre – All-Russian Research Institute of Experimental Physics, this is a turning point. This facility, it’s one of the key nuclear institutions that supports the defense complex in Russia. The paradigm shift, from peace and economic success, to an arms buildup nobody needs, it’s pungent. Two years ago I was lobbying for Europe to open up to Russia, Vladimir Putin was literally begging leaders to create visa normalization, and now we are in Cold War II.

And Obama’s men would have you believe it’s all Putin’s doing. It’s nonsensical.

This quote from Putin, at the starting line of the new arms race, it foretells of a lot more than just weapons creation.

“You cannot fail to sense and be aware that we are now modernising the entire military-industrial complex. This is the largest-scale modernisation of the last 20 years in our nation. We are allocating very serious resources, and I’m sure you have heard this figure as well: three trillion rubles [$78 billion]. The money is allocated across nearly all the leading companies in the sector, of which there are now 640, I believe.”

Consider what is going to happen this time around! Cold War I saw America and the so-called allies claiming a sort of victory when the Berlin Wall came down. We all cheered, only to be disappointed at how leaders dealt with the new found freedoms. Graft, corruption, massive Wall Street rip-offs, the one percent reeling in trillions, and the rest of us just got promises. We were at peace (mostly) for ten years, then WHAMO! Iraq, Afghanistan, then the Arab Spring, Ukraine, Gaza, and now Syria and Iraq again. The history books will end up telling of a zero-sum game of humanity. We went absolutely nowhere.

Only it’s much worse than nowhere, where we are today.

You know the best spells are those the recipient does not even detect. How can one fight mass hypnosis if one does not know it exists? Stop right here, take drag off that cigarette, sip the Budweiser, check your iPhone, swipe the iPad, tweet this story, yell at the kids… then come back from Never Never Land. On your tube CNN and BBC are boiling out lies that drum in your head while you sleep. The newspapers and magazines you see have Putin with dark sunglasses, caricatured (as at right by DonkeyHotey) like Hitler, Stalin, Satan, the Anti-Christ, or in some other negative posture. He’s a fearsome and sinister symbol, a loathed remnant of the USSR, KGB, a torturer of gays and Jews, the harbinger of death to a soft and squeezable European elite. Putin’s a Merkel mangler, and obeism administrator to Obama, a Cameron Karate chopper, and if he were a black man, he’d want our white women. It’s funny, and not.

But the reality is pretty obvious. The toughest leader in the modern world is Russian. Shunned by the Germans, French, Polish, Brits, Danes and Luxembourg crowd, the Russian people still visited, spent their rubles in Greece and Spain, why they even let EU businesses into their markets. The Germans love the Sochi Games, if only for the machinery deals, and maybe since the IOC President is German. But once Putin convinced Ukraine not to sign up for EU/NATO membership — BINGO! He became the enemy for sure. Damn people, he is just defending his people, his territory, it’s the Cuban Missile Crisis in reverse. WE DID THE SAME THINGS!

But our problems now are far, far greater than back in the 1960’s. I think you should watch this.

Here’s the reality of the whole east-west rift this time people. The folks who run Obama and Washington? They screwed up big time. Fearful the bubble will burst on their greedy asses, there’s got to be some shakeup to wash over it all. Wall Street is complicit as hell. Washington has their back. Obama and the other leaders in the west are up to their ears in corporate paybacks. You know this has to be true, one does not get elected these days without plenty of promises. Now, almost $18,000,000,000,000 dollars in debt, the United States treasury and the stock market is about to bust. The EU? Believe it or not, they’re even worse off. Germany is €2.3 trillion down. France is almost €2.1 trillion in debt. Italy sits at €2.3 trillion, and England owes 1.4 trillion pounds sterling.

Russia on the other hand, owes about $234 billion only. Or, less than tiny Denmark.

To wind up here, just assuming I am a bit right, who won the first Cold War? Are we sure we won? Was the war even ever really over? I mean the west promised the Russians there would be no eastward advance of NATO! Presidents from Bush, to Clinton, to Bush again, and finally Obama didn’t lie, did they? Who is on offense and who is on defense here? More importantly, WTF is going to happen now?

I’ll tell you. The United State of America will go broke this time in an arms race. Hell, we’re already there. Maybe we should do something? What do you think?

In the interest of peace… there is no interest in peace in Washington. There’s better things, more profitable things to think about.

Doggone Forbes caught my eye again this afternoon reminds me of something JFK’s noted historian Arthur Schlesinger said;

“If we are to survive, we must have ideas, vision, and courage. These things are rarely produced by committees. Everything that matters in our intellectual and moral life begins with an individual confronting his own mind and conscience in a room by himself”

As evidence most college students in America are not necessarily smart, and that many experts never sit in rooms doing self evaluation alone, this Forbes Opinion piece pushes the term “pseudo-intellectual” to the limit. A “fellow” summons up plenty of high fallut’in words to brand into our brains Russia propaganda is somehow more powerful, and less truthful than its western counterpart. (among which Forbes rules the roost). Whether or not , it sure co-author Marcel H. Van Herpen bashes Putin ever chance he gets from the Washington/EU think tank The Cicero Foundation. This paper (PDF) reads like a John McCain playbook. Cicero Foundation’s state purpose says a lot about unbiased intellectual pursuits:

“The Foundation actively supports the integration of the Central and Eastern European Countries into the European Union.”

Now I could be off base here, but I’ll wager two dollars Agnia Grigas, a fellow at the McKinnon center for Global Affairs at Occidental College of this Forbes piece has or is studying underneath Derek Shearer is the former United States Ambassador to Finland.

And if this is so, perhaps my definition of the origins of propaganda from America involve MASSIVE special interests. A devout Barack Obama cheerleader, Shearer typed out this majestic piece for Huff Po back when the great gray man took office.

So evidently, the good diplomacy professor has yet to answer his own question. Perhaps students and fellows will help greatness materialize, somehow? Heck, maybe even Forbes can help.

How bout it? Any transparency on class note taking professor? As for Occidental College fellows, double talk should get a grade I suppose. Here are the Forbes authors’ contentions graded A thru F.

Myth: Crimea and east Ukraine are more or less Russian. The think tank fellows say NO! But Crimea is about 60 percent Russian ethnicity, while east Ukraine is less Russian ethnically. It’s true the separated east is only about 39 percent Russian, so the students of global detentes get a C- for getting something right.
Myth: Ukrainians are asking Russia’s help? Here the Forbes contributors point to a poll by Gallup.. Stop the presses, Gallup cannot accurately poll in a war torn region in my estimation. But the authors fail to point out nearly a million eastern Ukrainians have fled to Russia since the coup in Kiev. Should we consider this a YES help us vote? Here the authors get a D.
Myth: Separatist in the east of Ukraine are indigenous Ukrainian. The authors say the separatist militia in are really Russian regulars. Here I won’t even argue the point, as it is meaningless for all intents and purposes. Even if Putin led personally freedom fighters in Russian pick-up trucks, the myth here is that Kiev gives a damn about the people of east Ukraine. Kiev and Washington are using Israeli logic on this one. “Kill the hostages and the kidnappers” – collateral damage be damned. Here our goody two shoes student body gets an F for asking the wrong damned questions, and giving all the wrong answers.

Something put a bur in Agnia Grigas’ and Marcel H. Van Herpen’s saddles, probably the same people behind ISIS for all we know. This Forbes bit is just another Russophobe rant like any Google News search for Putin or Ukraine.

Excuse me, but the vehemence in all these pieces reminds me of scientists bent on proving their concoctions from theory into fact. The political scientists, at this college at least, seem snow-blind to any possibility outside starry eyed Obama worship.

Just how academias can ignore an NSA spying, drone murdering, NeoCon hugging quasi liberal like Obama such latitude, it borders on hypnotism. Sure Russia has their information gurus out there, but ownership of world media still sits in the same hands as always. My opinion is, the people who put Obama in office (and Cameron, and Merkel (above), and, and) they’ve pulled the chain on the biggest media stink ever.

And the halls of knowledge need an air freshener too. What a bunch of malarkey.
