Just when you figured the world and strange news of the US government could not get stranger, real news and conspiratorial thinking have now fully integrated. Apparently, we not only funded the Ebola outbreak, but we may have shot down Malaysian flight MH17 to cover it up. Can I hear you say, “WTF?”
I hope you read to the end, and then contribute to the discussion…
We all know (and fear some) the deadly Ebola virus has arrived in the United States. Pretty much all of us know our government is hell bent on filling the arms dealers’ and energy giants’ treasuries with more of our money too. But plotting to kill us off? If the stories circling round the back-channels come to light in the mainstream, this is what you’ll probably find out later on. Hopefully not too late. This Catholic Online piece opens a Pandora’s Box of dastardly doings. It tells of testimony of one Dr. Cyril E. Broderick, Sr. (PDF CV from Deleware State),who claims the US Defense Department was (is) carrying out Ebola trials on humans, trials that began just weeks before the Ebola outbreaks in Guinea and Sierra Leone. Uh hum, I got your attention.
The Bio-Terrorism Money Pit
According to Broderick, the Defense Department gave a contract worth $140 million dollars to a Canadian pharmacuetical company called Tekmira, to conduct Ebola research. The only mainstream media report I could find concerning Dr. Broderick’s claims was this CBS DC story, which was furthermore enlightening. According to this report, Broderick extends his allegations to implicate; the US Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases (USAMRIID), Tulane University, the National Institute of Health; the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention; Doctors Without Borders (also known by its French name, Medicins Sans Frontiers), the aforementioned Tekmira, and GlaxoSmithKline in the U.K.

The CBS piece links to the cover story of the Liberian Daily Observer, which gives an even more scalding account. Tracing down some of this research reveals even more companies and academia involved in research into Ebola. This Coregenix Corporation release discusses in brief, the grants Broderick is referring to (Coregenix announced their rapid detection system for Ebola back in 2005). The doctor who received much of the grant money Dr. Broderick refers to, Robert F. Garry, Jr., Ph.D., did in fact receive millions in grants to study the so-called Lassa virus immunology, along with $8000 dollars to open the test lab, Kenema Sierra Leone. Tulane published the grant amounts and descriptions Garry is responsible for concerning Ebola since 2009.
Tracking the money going into this kind of immunologic research leads through a maze of companies, and tens of millions in funding for the Viral Hemorrhagic Fever Consortium (VHFC’s partners are listed here). What’s significant in the grants and funding wording of documents, for me, is the constant reference to “bio-terrorism” throughout. And more so, the direct involvement of US military entities in the Sierra Leone cooperation with Tulane staff. I quote from the VHFC site:
“Recently, in a project facilitated by the VHFC and other partners, the KGH research team has broken ground on a new 48-bed Lassa Ward that will replace the current facility. The building of the new ward will be managed by VHFC researchers from Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine and is funded by a grant from the US Naval Facilities Command (NAVFAC), AFRICOM Humanitarian Assistance Program. The new ward exemplifies the continued need for human resource and infrastructure development, as Sierra Leone strives towards creating a Center of Excellence for Lassa Fever treatment and research.”
But that’s just for starters…

Chilling Coincidence: Is it the truth of the future?
I tried to track down when the first case of Ebola in this current and worst ever epidemic occurred. While most reports claim the first outbreak was in Guinea in early December 2013, I discovered an instance on November 20th, 2012, reported by none other than the United States Africa Command. In this report, from a remote village deep in the bush at Nyimbwa, Uganda, a girl infected in that village leads to a US Army officer predicting a pandemic. Col. (Dr) Richard Birdsong, who was present in Nyimbwa, offered this on Ebola and pandemics:
“If a person were to travel to Uganda and contract a disease, they could potentially carry a disease that could become an epidemic, even pandemic, in the U.S.”

Looking at the Department of Defense website I found a new press mention of the DoD sending a 25 bed hospital to Liberia. But what’s puzzling and at the same time significant for me looking at announcements, is the seeming connections between what American now sees as military threats. Ebola, ISIL (ISIS the names change), and Russia fall underfoot of the US military establishment now. This statement from Secretary of Defense, Chuck Hagel, and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, General Martin Dempsey, who puts the three in context as “beyond” a public health crisis:
“The Ebola outbreak in west Africa is the largest the world has ever seen. This is a complex emergency beyond a public health crisis that has significant humanitarian, economic, political, and security dimensions.”
Now, we’ve allegedly helped create a “Caliphate” in the entity ISIL, with which we are engaged in a cross borders war. We’ve forged forward toward the very borders of Russia with our NATO allies in tow, thereby transforming Russia from ally to enemy, militarizing Europe once again. And now we read about a potential germ warfare catastrophe that threatens the entire world, and it’s having been militarized.
Finally, in a rather wild coincidence some conspiratorial thinkers are parroting of late, Glenn Thomas’ death as a passenger aboard Malaysian Flight MH17 is suggested as having been in connection with Washington policy quagmires. Thomas, a former BBC News producer and media expert for the World Health Organization (WHO) was on board with the AIDs researchers headed to Malaysia. It is postulated by some, Thomas somehow disagreed to a WHO coverup of information on how the Ebola epidemic started, and that he was eliminated via some copious network of corporate barons and crooked diplomats. At first, I had thought this theory “ouside the scope” of reason, but then I found this mention of Thomas with Dr Pierre Formenty in an announcement about the outbreak. This was just prior to MH17 having crashed.
A thin connection of names and events surrounding WHO, the Ebola researchers, the DoD, and even celebrity billionaires like George Soros, seems at first to be nothing more than wild conjecture. As to the possibility of some WHO cover up, there is suggestion that WHO Director-General Margaret Chan had been questioning whether or not the mutated Ebola strain of this epidemic could have been man made. It is striking the likeness her report before the United Nations bears, a few days after Glenn Thomas died, to the remarks by the US Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff’s made:
“This is not just an outbreak. This is not just a public health crisis. This is a social crisis, a humanitarian crisis, an economic crisis, and a threat to national security well beyond the outbreak zones.”
And she did not make these remarks before the UN General Assembly, but before the United Nations Security Council. Ever increasingly, but unrecognized by most citizens, the lines of rhetoric in between our institutions blur. Looking to President Obama, or NATO, even to the good Dr. Chan, we find what were once uncommon bedfellows; World Bank, security, pandemic, governments, and corporations cited in the same sense in our documents and dogma. I recall the day after MH17 went down, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton admitting she had been consulting the stock market over Russia before going on the air. I talked about his in a piece for Russia Today.

No concluding, not yet…
Whether or not these conspiracy theories have morphed into fact, or not, there is no evading the truth that our leaders and officials have a limited respect for the public. It seems as if politicians and even military officers fear not any recriminations for involvement in anything illegal, let along morally inadvisable. They’ve been dully emboldened, perhaps by our apathy.
Can we say the billionaires built on Wall Street have taken over the show? We can, but we cannot prove just how. Nobody has the time or money to engage in that. Are our politicians just bit players in some New World Order (NWO) conspiracy? Well, there’s probably some truth in that in my opinion, but again, nobody is paying me to prove it (any takers?). George Soros made his money on betting at human misery, even espionage some say. He is Obama’s biggest supporter too. But someone could prove all the conspiracies from 9/11 to MH17 and the worst of the NSA fears, is the world too jaded and numbed? This is the overriding question really.
I’ll keep on this track for a while, for those of you interested in some semblance of truth. Let’s hope my conclusion is a happy ending.
