My fellow Americans, I am wishing you a good morning from Moscow. On hearing the “news” from private pilot and CNN analyst Jeff Wise, that Vladimir Putin is responsible for abducting Malaysian Airlines flight MH370, all traffic stopped for several moments during morning rush hour.
According to Wise, Putin is the only possible perpetrator of not only the MH370 disappearance, but he “probably” downed MH17 over Ukraine, as well. The revelation of Wise’s brilliant research, reported by RT last weekend, it caused something of a panic in Moscow. Eyewitnesses say, commuters traveling the Arbatsko–Pokrovskaya Line were seen at Kiyevskaya Station, bent over laughing in unison, in front of a big screen TV monitor. Comic relief is what western press has become for Russians, you see?
I only saw the RT story this morning. Imagine my surprise, sitting mouth agape, once again, on hearing of super sleuth investigations containing “make believe” proof. According to Wise, the two airline catastrophes could only have been brought about by the mighty, evil, hand of Russia’s president. Putin MUST be guilty, because he is the only man powerful enough and evil enough to commit such crimes!
Of course Wise is only really “wise” to the fact internet traffic makes one, internet famous. So as President Putin plans his next Dr. Evil moves, Jeff Wise is surely wringing his hands and snickering because RT sent him some more attention. If you think I am being cruel, just check his Twitter feed via this link. The man seems to think 1200 comments on the idiotic Mail article about his theories, is some kind of “truth” indicator – a validation of a wannabe or insane narcissist perhaps?
.@mailonline ran a story on my last blog post & it got 1200 comments from Russia’s troll army. Must’ve hit a nerve https://t.co/impUQ6g9tU

Anyone who looks at Wise’s Twitter feed for a spell will find ample social media “proof” of a journalist in need of some special RTs and Likes. The “possibilities” are endless for Wise, or either Putin is the end-all solution to the world’s ills. MH370 was, at a point, taken by a tractor beam or crash dived into the ocean by a suicide pilot. Wise’s Twitter motto pretty much says it all. “Making the invisible, visible” is amateur magic, after all. But what is disturbing in all this, is the credence CNN and other media give – or maybe credence is the wrong word? My “hunch” is, Wise made his connect to CNN via Executive Editor, Ram Ramgopal, one of the Tweeps he followed right after Air Bus and Boeing.
Ramgopal tweeted a lot about MH370, and the two CNN aircraft disaster “dicks” (detectives?) communicated a lot on the subject too. Yes idiots, you can do that. Twitter has a pretty awesome search function too. The two kiss such good proverbial ass, it reminds me of all the mutual gratification stories I ever heard. Wow. I’ll just have to end with this for now. The CNN editor in charge of informing America, and he’s coming off like a self aggrandizing clown. “Me, me, me, look at me.” Oh my.
Tune in folks. He’s the real deal. RT @ManvBrain: Heading to @CNN to talk about my @Slate piece on #MH370 — sched for 11am show

Ramgopal is a Joe Biden fan, a Clinton minion, so there you go. As for Wise, in my opinion he’s the poster child for mean little shits who care about themselves and nobody else. His Tweet about the Russian airliner downed over the Sinai resonates:
For Putin, does the tragic Metrojet crash represent chickens coming home to roost? https://t.co/EU9schBpWF
— Jeff Wise (@ManvBrain) November 4, 2015
The piece he wrote for NYMag behind, it’s just pitiful from a human standpoint. His proof for the death of all those Russian vacationers was either crappy Russian airline maintenance, or the bomb that in fact downed the plane. Wise, like so many other western parrots and fortune seekers, betrays his intentions throwing in MH17 at every turn, adding Vladimir Putin to the pot, and stirring. He ends the “analysis” of the Metrojet catastrophe, wagging a finger at Putin and Russia. Wise says;
“Metrojet 9268 could well be seen as chickens coming home to roost for Russian president Vladimir Putin, who in the past has shown staggering indifference to civilian casualties. He is widely viewed as being responsible for the bombings of two St. Petersburg apartment blocks in 1999, which killed 300 people and were used to provide pretext for the Second Chechen War.”
And he goes on to indict Putin for MH17 one final time. Wise is a waste of good investigative and writing talent. The guy can actually clip words together pretty good. As for his detective skills, he knows better than anyone else. This is from a NYMag piece he wrote. It says, “me, me, look at me”, with some impact:
“In the year since the vanishing of MH370, I appeared on CNN more than 50 times, watched my spouse’s eyes glaze over at dinner, and fell in with a group of borderline-obsessive amateur aviation sleuths. A million theories bloomed, including my own.”
50 times. Okay. But you know the really sad thing about journalists like Jeff Wise? In clicking down to discover who this guy is, the idea of decent human beings and intelligent authors smashes into human fallibility. Wise is a Harvard grad, a dad, an adventurer, somebody with skills and real potential. And, instead of taking the high road… Maybe the guy did not meet somebody’s expectations, maybe his patience ran out? Maybe all the attention jockeys out there, all those “would be” researchers like Eliot Higgins (Bellingcat) were just fed what they needed most.
Maybe CNN made Russophobes and anti-Putin lobbyists? Who can say? All I know is, truth and justice fall victim to a big popularity contest. And CNN? Their news is “Fucked Up Beyond All Recognition” (FUBAR).
