Last night my colleague, Holger Eekhoff and his partner from the Republic of Georgia came over for a Eurovision song contest part we decided to throw at the spur of the moment. Favorite songs in place for us all, we sat and watched in entertained hopefulness at the start. By the time it was time for the voting, our little international group had made their picks.
Before the “jury” voting aspect of the scores tabulations were half done, my political analyst partner and I looked at one another across the families, the knowing slit of a smile on his face told me unceremoniously that the bid had been rigged. Ukraine or Australia would somehow beat Russia’s favored to win song.
As The Telegraph puts it today:
“Ukraine have won Eurovision with a political, heartfelt and serious song about something with intense personal meaning to the singer, Jamala. It’s a song about Stalin’s forced deportation of Crimean Tatars, including members of Jamala’s own family, in 1944.”
But in my mind, it’s just not that simple or that elegantly competitive either. The Eurovision was rigged from the “get-go”. Juries of the prospective countries somehow tuned in to a song with a resonance they could not possibly identify with! The respective song experts this year must have been cultural historians all, or Russia having the better production, Armenia having the best voice and look, and the kid from Sweden being cute as a button AND talented (my wife) just could not stand up to screeching mediocrity with a lovely light show? Our family’s assessment was Armenia by mile, with Russia and then Australia. Our guests figured differently, but Ukraine was not even close. But that was here, just before we all went off to bed, with scarcely a word in between.

Before you continue reading understand. I did not think Russia should have won, but the PEOPLE did. My question, and one I will answer completely very soon is; “Who the hell are these Eurovision jurists?” Better still, “who are they associated with?” You know why I ask this.
To continue, my wife did not even want to talk about it this morning. She caters to a feminine need to hold the chaotic world together, and often refuses to acknowledge World War III on the horizon. I understand this, like most Moms, she is genetically wired to tend to the nest and the status quo. The Eurovision contest is supposed to be about fairness and our unique cultural makeup, not about the power brokers of NATO, the EU, the Brits, and America’s new world order running game. Sadly, my wife really does know what we know. We watched the “jury” give Ukraine a propaganda vistory, right out from under the voters who selected Russia’s Sergey Lazarev and his song, “You Are the Only One”. Read this again……. Eurovision country juries STOLE Eurovision 2016 from Lazarev and every Russian right in front of our eyes, on international televsision. Magically, amazingly, astoundingly, the people are not tearing down Eurovision headquarters brick-by-brick today.
The best was I can relate to you how screwed up Eurovision is, is to share this post with you. Before I paraphrase part of the The Saker’s systematic dismantling of Eurovision’s viability to you, let me give you my view. While MCs Måns Zelmerlöw and Petra Mede did a spectacular job of being entertaining, the political bullshit we witnessed last night left a very bad taste in my mouth.
1944, the song that won Eurovision 2016 because of it’s touching rationalization Crimean dissent, might as well have been written by Barack Obama’s White House entertainment director. How touching, gut wrenching, and innately perfect politically, to scour the countrysides of Ukraine to find, someone with talent AND a tale of Russophobic nightmares! I can only sit now and ponder why Vladimir Putin himself did not take the stage to perform for Russia. Holger and I joked about the phones ringing insanely, servers crashing, on the news Putin was performing live on Eurovision, You Are the Only One! Better still, what if Vladimir sung about the battle for Leningrad, how the Nazis and their Baltic SS helpers surrounding his family’s hometown to rubble, and how his little brother never made it out alive!
For the obtuse among you, what if Russia had unleashed the hurt and frustration of having been spit upon these last three years by fascists, neocons, banksters, and idiotic NATO generals? What if Putin came on stage and swooned about his pilots shot down by Obama’s NATO pal, Erdogan? What if the Russian president played the piano like we have seen him play, and spun a tune about dead babies in Donbass, shelled to pieces by their own kind. Dead, wounded, shattered people live today underneath the pal of Eurovision juries of another kind. Refugees beg for food and shelter, terror reins in Paris, Brussels and across Eurasia, and a song about a people on a penensula NATO lost back to Russia wins hands down. Hands down over the votes of the PEOPLE! I think you people need to ask somebody “what the fuck is going on?” That is what I think.
Now to The Saker.
May 9th. The 71st Anniversary of victory against the Nazis, and the Eurovision psychopaths Tweet about how “1944” does not break any rules by politicizing the contest everybody knows is political. At the Vineyard:
“On May 9, 2016, a tweet from the European Broadcasting Union confirmed “that neither the title nor the lyrics of the song contained “political speech” and therefore it didn’t breach any Eurovision rule, therefore allowing it to participate in the competition.( from Wikipedia)”
The piece on The Saker makes the point that Stalin deported Crimean Tartars to protect them from repercussions of war crimes some of them committed. Quoting the piece again:
“About 120,000 “Crimean Tatars” live in Crimea. After the liberation of Crimea from Ukrainian occupation, about 8,000 ended up living in Ukraine. The rest of them don’t want to move to Ukraine and prefer to stay in Russia. If they are so upset about 1944 why wouldn’t they move to Turkey to enjoy the true freedom and democracy that the Associated membership with the EU brings?”
Here’s the thing people. When the Soviet armies retook Crimea from the Nazis, do you know what they discovered? Russian speakers there had been systematically slaughtered by their Turkish Tartar brothers on behalf of the Nazis. Those deported lived simply because they were removed from in front of the comrades of those their people had helped murder. It is also significant that Europe, the Americans, and the Brits have stood by and watched new Nazis murder Russian speakers in the East of Ukraine. New Turkish henchmen send arms and terrorists into Syria and the Caucasus, then blackmail the Germans and EU countries to grant them concessions!
And now you know why I speak so sternly. Eurovision was bought out. My next column will offer clues and news as to just how it was accomplished. Maybe if Iveta Mukuchyan had sung about the Armenian genocide committed by the Turks, she could have stood a chance?
No, NATO has no chance of taking over Armenia, not ever. Oh, and our lovely friend who is from the Republic of Georgia, guess who she was amazed at, and who she thought should win?
Hundreds of eyewitnesses, including the neutral United States and the Ottoman Empire’s own allies, Germany and Austria-Hungary, recorded and documented numerous acts of state-sponsored massacres back during World War I, and nothing came of it. Ukraine murders its own people in the East, and nothing comes of it. The NWO pays off some sellouts and Ukraine wins over Russia. This is probably the only way America’s idiot president can get a win over Putin…. Sorry, this is just that messed up.
Stay tuned Eurovision, I am about to roast your chestnuts soon (I’ll start by investigating here and working my way through each-and-every public broadcaster that voted Ukraine ahead of Russia, Armenia, and Australia). I hate cheaters, so let’s so who did.
I leave off the same way The Saker did:
“The Eurovision 2016 is shaping up to become a true statement of glorification of Nazism and its excuses to condone the genocide of Russians in World War II, which turned out to be the pinnacle of European civilization.
For those of you who feel propensity to burn people alive, enjoy, while you can….”
